Refinance Rates: 30 Year Refinance Rates at 5.09%, 15 Year Refinance Rates at 4.39%
The decline in mortgage refinance rates won't last long for two reasons. The first is that the Federal Reserve will end its support of the mortgage market when it completes the purchase of $1.25 trillion in mortgage-backed securities (MBS). The second reason is the Fed will be rasing interest rates this year to keep inflation in check. Jumbo refinance rates are also down this week. 30 year jumbo refinance rates are averaging 5.76%, down from last week’s average mortgage refinance rate of 5.85%. Bucking the down trend are 15 year jumbo refinance rates with current 15 year refinance rates averaging 5.13 percent. The average conforming 3 year adjustable refinance rate is at 4.63% this week, an increase from last week’s mortgage loan refinance rate of 4.61%. 5 year adjustable refinance interest mortgage rates are averaging 4.01% this week, a decrease from last week’s average mortgage refinance interest rate of 4.05%. 7 year conforming mortgage refinance rates are at 4.50%, down from last week’s average mortgage refinance rate of 4.60%. 10 year refinance mortgage rates are averaging 4.80%, up slightly from last week’s home equity refinance rate of 4.79%. Jumbo Adjustable Mortgage Rates - Refinance1 year jumbo adjustable refinance rates are at 5.59%, unchanged from last week’s average refinance rate. The average refinance rate for a 3 year jumbo ARM is at 5.36%, down from last week's average adjustable refinance loan rate of 5.44%. 5 year jumbo refinance interest rates are at 4.70% this week, a decrease from last week’s average bank refinance rate of 4.76%. The average 7 year jumbo refinance home loan rate is at 5.75% this week, down from the prior week’s average refinance home loan rate of 5.80%. 10 year home refinance rates are averaging 5.96% this week, a decrease from the previous week’s average 10 year home refinance rate of 5.99%. Refinance rates were down this week over last. Fixed conforming 30 year refinance mortgage rates are averaging 5.07%, down from the prior week’s average refinance rate of 5.09%.
