Savings rates 47 days after the Fed's quarter-point increase

The Federal Reserve raised its target range a quarter point to 3.75% to 4.00% on September 16 and kept it there at its October 28 meeting, on a 10 to 2 vote. A savings rate is variable: a bank can change the rate on accounts its customers already hold, and the timing and size of each change is the bank's choice.
