Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) is offering some of the best CD rates available right now from any bank or credit union. Regular share certificates of deposit have terms of 1 year to as many as 7 years. Jumbo certificates of deposit are available with terms ranging from 6 months to 7 years.

The CD rate and annual percentage yield is tiered based on the deposit amount. The credit union's 12 month certificate of deposit (minimum deposit of $1,000) currently has a CD rate of 1.24 percent with an annual percentage yield of 1.25 percent. 12 month jumbo CD rates (minimum deposit of $100,000) are currently at 1.54 percent with an APY of 1.55 percent.
