Mortgage loan rates and refinance rates are mostly higher this morning except average rates on fixed 30 year mortgages. The current national average 30 year rate mortgage is 4.79 percent, down slightly from yesterday when 30 year rate mortgages averaged 4.80 percent. 30 year mortgage loan rates and refinancing rates in North Carolina are higher than the national average 30 year rates. Current 30 year rates in NC are averaging 4.83 percent.
