Current Mortgage Rates Higher: 30 Year Mortgage Rates at 4.96%, 15 Year Mortgage Rates at 4.33%

Current mortgage rates were slightly higher in this week's mortgage survey with the exception of 1 year adjustable mortgage rates which were down 10 basis points to 4.22 percent. 30 year mortgage rates averaged 4.96 percent for the week ending March 18, 2010 in the current Primary Mortgage Market Survey released by Freddie Mac. Average mortgage discount points on 30 year mortgages remained unchanged at 0.7 points.
