Current 15 year fixed mortgage rates are down to 4.30 percent for the week ending May 13, 2010, a decline from the prior week's average 15 year mortgage rate of 4.36 percent. Mortgage points remain unchanged from the prior week averaging 0.7 points.

Current 5 year U.S. Treasury indexed adjustable rate mortgages declined to 3.95 percent for the week ending May 13, 2010, down from the previous week's average 5 year adjustable rate of 3.97 percent. Mortgage points averaged 0.6 points.

1 year adjustable mortgage rates are closing in on 4.00 percent. The average 1 year adjustable mortgage rate was 4.02 percent for the week ending may 13, 2010, down from the previous week's average rate of 4.07 percent.  Mortgage points averaged o.6 points.
