Mortgage Rates: 30 Year Mortgage Rates Decrease, 15 Year Mortgage Rates Unchanged as we Wait for Ben Bernanke’s comments

30 year mortgage rates continue to head lower this week. Current 30 year mortgage rates are averaging 4.51% in this week's Mortgage Application Survey released by the Mortgage Bankers Association. The average contact rate for 30 year mortgage loans is down from the prior week's average of 4.54%. Average mortgage points on 30 year loans increased to 1.05 points, up from the previous week's average of 0.94 points.
