Current CD rates continue to decline across the board. Right now on our list of the highest CD rates on 2 year certificates of deposit Discover Bank and Pentagon Federal Credit Union top our list. Both Discover Bank and PenFed are offering 2 year CD rates at 1.24% with an APY of 1.25%.

A 1.25% APY for a 2 year CD might not seem that high but both financial institutions are offering 2 year CD rates well above the current national average of 0.685% as reported by MonitorBankRates.com.

The second highest CD rate on our list of 24 month bank CD rates is from Nationwide Bank. The bank is currently offering 2 year CD interest rates at 1.19% with an APY of 1.20%

The third best rate on our list of 2 year bank CD rates is from Ally Bank. Current 2 year Ally Bank CD rates are at 1.17% with an APY of 1.18%.

The fourth highest rate on our list of 2 year rates is from Union National Bank. Current 2 year Union National Bank CD rates are at 1.14% with an APY of 1.15%.

Rounding out the top 5 CD rates on 2 year CDs is AIG Bank. Current AIG Bank CD rates on 2 year CDs are at 1.11% with an APY of 1.12%.
