Mortgage Rates: Long Term Mortgage Rates Decline This Week: Conforming 15 Year Mortgage Rates at 3.24%

Long term mortgage rates are lower this week and short term mortgage rates are higher thanks to the "Twist". The Fed's plan to decrease long term interest rates and increase short term rates has already started. 30 year conforming mortgage rates are averaging 4.00%, a decrease from last week’s average 30 year rate of 4.23%. 30 year mortgage rates are now at an all-time low in MonitorBankRates.com mortgage rate survey. 15 year mortgage rates are also lower this week, today's 15 year mortgage rates decreased to 3.24%, down from last week's average 15 year mortgage rates of 3.38%.
