Just When You Thought it Was Safe to Refinance: Mortgage Rates Today Hit Record Low
Its pretty amazing how low current mortgage rates are these days. In the beginning of 2012 when average 30 year mortgage rates broke through 4.00 percent I decided to pull the trigger and refinance my mortgage loan. Now 30 year mortgage rates today are averaging 3.59 and will probably break through 3.50 percent in the coming weeks.

Average 15 year conforming mortgage rates current are at 3.00 percent, down from an average 15 year mortgage rate of 3.01 percent. While average 15 year mortgage rates didn't hit a record low today rates are very near and all-time low of 2.97 percent.

Average 30 year jumbo mortgage interest rates today are at 4.21 percent, a decline from yesterday's average 30 year jumbo mortgage rate of 4.24 percent. Jumbo rates on 30 year loans are not at record lows but there are lenders offering rates below the averages.
Right now on our jumbo 30 year rate table for Connecticut, Citi and Emery Federal Credit Union are both offering 30 year jumbo rates below the averages. Investors Home Mortgage is also offering 30 year jumbo rates below the averages in CT.
15 year jumbo mortgage rates are averaging 3.41 percent, a record low for 15 year jumbo mortgage interest rates, down from yesterday's average 15 year jumbo rate of 3.45 percent.
5 year conforming adjustable refinance mortgage rates are at an all-time low averaging 2.76 percent, down from an average 5 year rate of 2.79 percent yesterday. Average 5 year jumbo adjustable rates are averaging 2.85 percent, unchanged from yesterday's average rate.
