Average Mortgage Rates Today Mixed: Current 15 Year Rates at 2.98%

Mortgage rates today are mixed, no big moves in average rates overnight as bond yields were down to 1.50 percent yesterday. Today's mortgage rates on 15 year conforming loans are averaging 2.98 percent just above an all-time record low of 2.96 percent.

There are several mortgage lenders on our rate tables offering 15 year refinance rates as low as 2.75 percent with points. You can search for and compare many types of home loan terms with different refinance rates and point combinations without providing any personal information to view rates.



Current mortgage rates on 30 year conforming home loans are averaging 3.60 percent, unchanged from yesterday's average 30 year mortgage rate. There are also lenders on our rate tables offering 30 year refi rates as low as 3.38 percent with 2 points on a 30 year refinance loan.

Mortgage rates todays on jumbo loans are higher today for both 30 year loans and 15 year loans. Mortgage rates current on 30 year jumbo mortgages are averaging 4.21 percent, up from yesterday's average 30 year jumbo mortgage rate of 4.20 percent. Right now on our jumbo rate tables there are lenders offering 30 year jumbo refinancing rates as low as 4.00 percent.

Mortgage rates currently on 15 year jumbo mortgages are averaging 3.45 percent, an increase from yesterday's average 15 year jumbo mortgage rate of 3.44 percent. Right now on our15 year refinance rate table in California there are lenders offering 15 year rates as low as 3.25 percent.

Current mortgage rates today on 5 year adjustable loans are mixed. Average 5 year conventional mortgage rates are at 3.05 percent, an increase from an average rate of 3.01 percent. Today's mortgage rates on 5 year jumbo loans are averaging 2.86 percent, unchanged from yesterday's average 5 year jumbo mortgage interest rate.
