Capital One CD Rates July 2019
If you want to invest in a longer-term CD account, 60 month CD rates at Capital One are at 2.47 percent with an APY of 2.50 percent. As you can see, their 5 year CD rates are only 20 basis points above 1 year CD rates so it might not be worthwhile to invest in a 5 year CD at Captial One. Then again, there is talk of the Federal Reserve lowering rates at least once or twice this year, so locking in a higher rate for 5 years might not be a bad investment.
Looking at short term CD rates from Capital One, we see 6-month CD rates are at 0.60 percent and 9 month CD rates are at 0.80 percent. 24 month and 30 month CD rates are both currently offered at 2.32 percent with an APY of 2.35 percent. 3-year rates are at 2.37 percent with an APY of 2.40 percent and 4-year rates are at 2.42 percent with an APY of 2.45 percent.
