There is no minimum deposit to open a certificate of deposit at Barclays. Online CD accounts automatically renew at prevailing rates. Beginning on the date of maturity, there is a 14-day grace period in which you can withdraw funds from your CD without penalties. Barclays will send you an email alert approximately 30 days before your CD matures. To withdraw funds from a CD account, you’ll have to contact Barclays in writing or by phone before the grace period ends. The Barclays Customer Care team can give you more detailed instructions, you can call them at 888-710-8756, seven days a week from 8am to 8pm ET. You can receive interest disbursements every month.
