3 Banks Increase Rates – BankDirect 1 Year CD Rate Now at 1.25 Percent

The trend of higher CD rates continues as 3 more banks increase CD interest rates. This round of increases are from BankDirect, 5 Star Bank, and Mount McKinley Bank. The most notable of the increases is BankDirect's 1 year certificate of deposit.

BankDirect increased 1 year CD rates to 1.24 percent with an APY of 1.25 percent. The old rate was 1.20 percent with an APY of 1.21 percent. While the increase was only 4 basis points higher, BankDirect's 1 year rate is now in tied for the third highest 1 year rate in our database.
