The 18 month promotional CD rate is one of the best CD rates currently available at the credit union. The CD interest rate for balances of at least $1,000 is 1.49 percent with an annual percentage yield (APY) of 1.50 percent. Account balances of at least $10,000 or more earn a higher CD rate. The current rate for balances of $10,000 or more is 1.73 percent with an APY of 1.75 percent.
