Doral Bank Direct recently lowered the rate the bank pays on a 12 month certificate of deposit from 1.14 percent with an APY of 1.15 percent to 1.09 percent with an APY of 1.10 percent.

Although the bank lower the 12 month rate it still tops our rate list for the highest CD rate. The other bank offering 1 year CD rates at 1.09 percent with an APY of 1.10 percent is CIT Bank.



Doral Bank Direct's 1 year rate is considerably higher than the current national average rate of 0.75 percent. The FDIC's national average rate is even less at 0.28 percent.
