Current Barclays Bank CD Rates: Best Deal on 2 Year CD Rates

Barclays Bank continues to offer some of the best CD rates available and is consistently has some of the top rates in our database. Right now Barclays Bank has the best 2 year rate available along with two other banks in our database. The best CD rates in our 2 year certificate of deposit rate list are from Barclays Bank, My e-BAnC and Alostar Bank of Commerce at 1.10 percent APY. The national average 2 year CD rate this week in the FDIC's rate survey is much lower at 0.34 percent.

Barclays is also tied with two other banks for the highest 3 year certificate of deposit rate in our database. Barclays along with Alostar and Salem Five Direct are all offering 3 year CD rates at 1.24 percent with an APY of 1.25 percent. The current FDIC national average 3 year rate is only at 0.46 percent, less than half the highest rate in our database.



While Barclays' doesn't does offer the top 5 year CD rate in our database they come in a close second. Barclay's current 5 year CD rate is offered at 1.73 percent with an APY of 1.75 percent. The highest rate in our 5 year database is from Everbank at 1.74 percent with an APY of 1.75 percent, only 1 basis point higher than Barclay's rate. Compere these rates to the FDIC national average 5 year rate at 0.74 percent either rate is a pretty good deal.
