Bank CD Rates - March 4, 2010Bank CD rates were down again this week, continuing the never ending downtrend it seems. 3 year certificate of deposit rates were the only rates that increased this past week.

The average 3 year bank CD interest rate increased to 1.650 percent, up from the prior week’s average bank CD rate of 1.640 percent.

3 month bank CD rates are averaging 0.482 percent this week, down from the last week’s average of 0.494 percent.

6 month CD rates are averaging at 0.768 percent, down from last week’s average rate of 0.778 percent.

12 month bank CD interest rates are averaging 1.041 percent, down from last week’s average rate of 1.050 percent.

18 month interest rates are averaging 1.091 percent, down considerably from the prior week’s average rate of 1.249 percent.

24 month rates are averaging 1.485 percent this week, down from the previous week’s average of 1.504 percent.

36 month certifciate of deposit rates are averaging 1.650 percent, up from the prior week’s average of 1.640 percent.

48 month CD rates are averaging 2.094  percent, down from last week’s average rate of 2.124 percent.

60 month certificate of deposit interest rates are averaging 2.399 percent, unchanged from the prior week.
