That rate is more than 5 times the national average. Other banks offering rates at 1.00% include Salem Five Direct, First Internet Bank of IN, Nationwide Bank, ING Direct and Sallie Mae Bank. Savings account rates at Ally Bank are slightly below at .099% with a savings account yield of 0.99%. If you're interested in money market rates Ally Bank is also offering MMA rates at 0.99% with a yield of 0.99%. Aurora Bank is next on our list of the best national average savings account rates.
