Coulee Bank of La Crosse, Wisconsin is offering a rewards checking accountthat currently has a rewards annual percentage yield of 4.04 percent. As with all rewards checking accounts, there is a certain number of transactions that have to be made each month to receive the rewards checking rate. 

If you fail to meet the requirements at Coulee Bank, the APY is only 0.10 percent. The monthly “qualification cycle” starts on the last business day of a month and ends on the second to last business day of the next month.

The minimum cycle transactions are the following

1. Make at least 10 debit card point-of-sale transactions (excluding ATM transactions).
2. Receive a monthly Electronic Statement.
3. One direct deposit or ACH Auto Debit (transaction must be over $1.00).

The bank’s “E-Rate” is on account balances of $25,000 or less. Checking account balances over $25,000 only earn an APYof 0.51 percent. There are no monthly fees on the account and no minimum balances. There is a minimum opening deposit of $50.
