Chase Bank $150 Cash Offer for Opening a Checking Account

Chase Bank will give you $150 for opening a Chase Checking account. Chase is sending the gift cards out in regular mail. We were alerted to this offer by a loyal reader of MBR who is not a Chase Bank customer. The offer is good until May 14, 2009.

To redeem the offer, you either bring the gift card to a local Chase Bank branch or sign up for the offer online  (chase.com/checking) using the coupon code number on the gift card.

When you open the Chase Checking account, you must also deposit $100 of “new money,” (money not currently deposited at Chase Bank) within 60 days of opening the account. The $150 checking bonus is deposited into the account within 10 days after you make the deposit of $100 or more.

You must also keep the checking account open for at least 6 months or the $150 bonus will be debited from the checking account when you close it.

There is no monthly maintenance fee on the checking account as long as you have a direct deposit or make 5 or more debit card purchases each statement period.  A $6.00 monthly fee is charged if you don’t have direct deposit set up or make 5 debit card purchases.
