Bank of America is offering a promotional checking account.

B of A will give you $50 for opening a checking account. The offer is only available at Bank of America’s branches. Mention promo offer code XDUGASINT.

To receive the promo bonus you have to maintain a minimum balance of $125 in the account and do a “qualified” monthly direct deposit for the first 60 days after opening the checking account.  The interest rate on the account is 0.05% APY as of 3/1/2009.

The bonus will be credited to your account within 90 days provided the stated requirements have been met.
