To receive the promo bonus you have to maintain a minimum balance of $125 in the account and do a “qualified” monthly direct deposit for the first 60 days after opening the checking account.  The interest rate on the account is 0.05% APY as of 3/1/2009.

The bonus will be credited to your account within 90 days provided the stated requirements have been met.
