Today's national average for a 30-year mortgage is 5.22 percent. Wells Fargo is also offering a 30-year fixed FHA mortgage rate of 5.50 percent. The bank is also advertising a conventional 15-year fixed rate mortgage that is currently under 5.00 percent at 4.75 percent. The national average mortgage rate for a 15-year mortgage is 4.63 percent. For conforming adjustable mortgage rates the bank is offering a rate of 4.25 percent for a five-year adjustable rate mortgage which is lower than the national average rate. The current mortgage rate for a 5-year ARM is 4.35 percent today. The bank is also advertising a conforming FHA 5-year ARM with a rate of 4.125 percent. Their jumbo mortgage rates are also very competitive, today's mortgage rate for a 30-year jumbo loan is at 6.25 percent, just above the national average rate of 5.14 percent for a 30-year jumbo mortgage. The 5-year jumbo adjustable mortgage rate is at 5.25 percent today, the national average rate is currently at 5.16 percent. Conventional mortgage loan limits have been raised in certain metropolitan areas to assist home buyers and help the housing market. Wells Fargo lists rates for these ares, the loan amounts are higher than the traditional loan limits but are not considered jumbo mortgages because of the change. Mortgage rates for larger mortgage amounts in federally designated eligible areas are higher than traditional conventional rates but lower than jumbo mortgage rates, current mortgage rates for a 30-year loan is 5.375 percent. 30-year FHA mortgage rates are at 5.50 percent and five-year ARMs are at 4.50 percent. |
